■This item is a collaboration with Nukeme, a glitch embroidery artist.

Glitch embroidery is a work that rewrites the binary of embroidery data for computerized sewing machines to generate glitches directly in the movement of the needle.

The unique feature of glitch embroidery is that the glitched image data is not simulated as embroidery, but rather the needle movement data (.pes) of the embroidery machine is glitched directly.

The designs are carefully selected from hundreds of patterns.

ARTIST Nukeme

Nukeme

Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1986, Nukeme moved to Tokyo after graduating from ESMOD Osaka, a fashion school, in 2008. In addition to his work in fashion and advertising, Nukeme has been actively involved in the creation of artwork utilizing technology, and was selected as a Jury Recommended Work at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2012, and for the VOCA Exhibition 2024 in 2023.
